| It is a vertically extended wooden pot attaining the height of 6 and 3/4". The pot is divided into three parts (a) stand (b) pot proper and (c.) lid
Body: The pot portion stands on a circular stand having 2" in diameter. There is constriction between the stand and the body. The body proper is 4" in height having 2 and 3/4" in diameter in the spherical part from immediately above the constricted part and extending upto the free end, the pot is circular and uniform in diameter. The body is hollow and covered by a lid.
Lid: The lid is a fine example of wood carving. It is 2 and 3/4" in length. There are as many as 5 circular steps of different dimensions on the body of the lid. The lid at its lower side has been carved to give rise to a circular rim like structure. This structure fits exactly in the open end of the body to serve as a lid.
The entire body ( both lid, body proper and the stand) is decorated with circular thick lines in black, red and red with whitish tinge drawn in regular succession. The lid is partially broken in one side only. |
